   According to Wikipedia, we, Korea, are the 14th largest publishing country among 123 in the world. And we are living in a flood of publishing with 2.22 million books a year. Around 1250 in England, only few homes were be able to hold 3 books because, at the moment, the price of A book was similar to the price of a house. However, many people underestimate the importance of books. In this era, it is truly a celebration that I love to read books. Before beginning, I’d like to thank to my mother who has given me such habits. Thank you mum for all the little pieces of habits what you had given to me.

   It was over 8pm when I got home after work. There was no one in the house and I felt kind of a sense of freedom. It was sweet. After turning on the music, ‘Bach’s Well-Tempered Clavier’ what I was listening to when I was coming home, I took a shower and I guess it was the sweetest shower I had in months. After that, I washed the plates in the sink for my mum who always comes home later than me. It was good to do something for someone especially that someone was my mum. This train of thoughts reached to a book what I’m recently on.

   One of my goals in 2013 is ‘Read more books ever’. This could be the same thing as ‘Eat more pizzas ever’. But extensive reading comparatively provides more possibilities of remembering more. I’ve been always love to read and I will be as well. However I’m aware of the difference between the quantity of reading and writing skills. Regardless of the quantity, there are people who can speak and write astonishingly and the opposite cases – it’s rare though – are possible. So I have to admit that I am not good at writing documents for employment.
   Yes, I haven’t got that kind of a capability. I do know about proposition of that practice makes perfection. But I guess companies might know that the distinction of the cover letter would follow the case of TOEIC what has lost its essence. People ask ‘What is your TOEIC score? Wow really? Then you might be fluent on speaking English?’ But not in a reversed way. Although a disadvantage of that it is difficult to digitise of speaking level, only few people are being asked the latter case. Just like this, we became Consumer Goods in the era of mechanical manufacturing of knowledge. It is clearly to be shown that there are more people who live the passive lives themselves which they need to be changed completely upon asks of the world. We, human beings, have got identities, virtues to observe and also there are ethical rules. There are numberless things to obey along our short lives. But the essential could be concluded as one – Zen, a number of different religions are aiming for altogether.

   I’ve heard an unexpected story about Jews at the present time. Jews who are living the same world as ours are confusing between their values and the reality. But isn’t it obvious to know the difference two people; the one who learn the basics first then learn expediencies and tricks afterwards and the other who doesn’t know that what is more important and only knows tricks. Though I could be seen as an idealist or a dreamer in a way, upon a point of view – I am indeed, I will follow my parents’ wish; My son, grow up only healthy and nice, that’s all I’m asking of you. I had no doubts of that my taste and the attitude of being would make my life more beautiful and shiny in the future.

   Mum just got back home with a bunch of smile on her face. Mum, you made all of these possible. I love you.
